Patchwork Architecture is a Wellington-based studio working across
Aotearoa, known for its bold, inventive, and deeply thoughtful
approach to design.
Directors Ben Mitchell-Anyon and Sally Ogle began collaborating
in 2012, following a formative year spent physically building their
first project, The Dogbox House in Whanganui — an experience that
cemented their hands-on, material-driven ethos.
Since then, Patchwork has established a reputation for creating
bold architecture that is both pragmatic and poetic — underpinned
by logical, efficient spatial planning, a clear structural language, and
innovative use of materials.
With a portfolio spanning residential, multi-residential,
commercial, and civic projects, the practice brings curiosity and
rigour to every brief. Their work is distinguished by ingenuity and wit,
and by the confidence and technical expertise required to transform
challenging sites and complex processes into architecture that
feels effortless.
