Led by Jeremy Smith and Andrew Irving, the practice has secured in
excess of 50 Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects
Awards for work around New Zealand, including Te Kāhui Whaihanga
New Zealand Institute of Architects awards for Public Architecture in
2012, 2013, and 2018; Residential Architecture in 2004, 2007, 2018, 2023;
Commercial Architecture in 2021 and 2023; and a President’s Award
in 2024.
Irving Smith Architects focuses on residential, public, and structural
timber projects throughout New Zealand and overseas. Their work
has been widely acknowledged around the world and extensively
recognised for its immense contribution to the design industry.
